Getting you started

Navigating the rules and regulations for solar energy in Idaho can be tricky. Please call for a free 30-minute consultation if you are new to the Gem State or see our FAQ page.

Replacing your batteries

Early adopters of solar energy may be thinking that their batteries are nearing their end of life. Please contact us for information on the new, powerful batteries now available.

We also build the crucial insulation boxes to ensure that your expensive energy investment doesn’t every freeze.

Installing your solar project

Residential, industrial and agricultural: We handle jobs large and small, from a few panels for an RV to a giant complex to run tourism destinations, farm compounds or agricultural operations, and everything in between, including mid-sized residential installations. The largest installation we’ve handled at Idaho County Solar was 14,400Kw, far above the typical 8Kw or so of a residential install.

Remote locations: We also handle remote and unusual locations, including yurts, island residences, off-grid mountain cabins accessible only by tramway and elevated locations up to 10,000 feet.

Work vans: Thinking of going solar on your work van? If your sites are off-grid, we can help you with solar power.

RVs and trailers: Adding solar to your camper, RV or travel trailer goes best with expert information on how to integrate not only the panels but the charge controller to your set-up. “RVs are tricky, every one is different,” Bob notes. “People think you just pop a solar panel on the roof, but you have to consider setting up charge controllers and batteries as well.”
